THE LAUTECH Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) HELD ITS MEETING TODAY AT THE UNDER-G GATE.
MORE THAN 200 STAFF WERE IN ATTENDANCE
THE MEETING WAS HELD TO DELIBERATE ON THE STATE OF THINGS IN THE COUNTRY TO DETERMINE THEIR STAND ON THE RECENT PMS HIKE + UNPAID SALARIES.
THE MEETING COMMENCED 8:30 AM TODAY AND LASTED FOR 2HRS.
After 2 straight hours of deliberating, the tall and short, fat and thin, big and small, mountain and valley, apple and android, the ying and yang of the meeting was that they will embark on an indefinte strike, which commeces with immediate effect today May 18, 2016.
The effect of the strike:
Library will be closedEngineering students are stuck. they cannot use the workshopMost non Academic related office will be closed.
HOWEVER, NASU ADMITS THAT IF THEIR WELFARISM IS LOOKED INTO, THEY WILL RECONSIDER THEIR STAND.
